An R&B legend who had a solid 20-year run before his untimely death in 2006, Gerald Levert was born into the business (his father was the lead singer for the O'Jays) and left behind a lengthy discography that includes ten solo albums, seven records with the group Levert, and two with LSG.Growing up in the tropical state, Slimm-Bay’B has lived in over 5 cities across Florida. Levert is the son of Eddie Levert, who is the lead singer of the R&B/soul vocal group the O'Jays. Levert was also a member of LSG, a supergroup comprising Keith Sweat, Johnny Gill, and himself. Levert is best known for singing with his brother, Sean Levert, and friend Marc Gordon of the vocal group LeVert. Gerald Edward Levert was an American singer-songwriter, producer and actor.
They recorded their first single, entitled 'Im Still,' on the independent Tempre label.
